COVID-19 guest register with contactless QR codes and record keeping

Some COVID-19 Safety Plans require businesses and organisations to collect customer and/or visitor details. Collecting this information will make contact tracing more efficient, if it becomes necessary.

This is a  free digital community service that allows councils to offer contactless QR codes and record keeping to communities and business in their area.

When collecting guest, visitor and customer details there is a requirement to

  • keep the name and mobile number or email address of the customer/visitor for at least 28 days

  • store records confidentially and securely

You can use this service in two ways, as a Venue/Business owner or as a visitor to that Venue/Business.

When you register as a business owner we securely store the information you enter at registration. This allows the provision of a QR code display sign that the business can print and display at their premises. Anyone who scans the QR code with their smartphone is redirected to a web page where they are asked to answer screening questions and provide their contact information. Any information transmitted is encrypted.

Visitors

  • When a visitor submits this information, it is encrypted and securely stored on our server so the system can generate a digital pass which can be presented at the premises containing a copy of the information the visitor entered.

By using this service as a visitor, you consent to your information being sent to/stored on behalf of authorised representatives of the business who created the QR code display sign that you scan, for the purpose of generating your digital pass and maintaining records.
